Located in the beautiful depths of Allaire State Park in Wall Township, the trees will part and our village with it's hardworking villagers will come alive before your eyes. Whether it's touring our historical buildings, or helping a young lady cider press near the gardens...there is always something new to discover at the village. Meet our villagers and learn about their lives in 1836. Help them prepare traditional hearth cooked meals or simply marvel at their unusual speech.

The Camden County Historical Society is comprised of three unique facilities that serve the community as well as genealogists and historians. The Society's Library contains over 20,000 volumes on local history; in addition the collection includes maps, photo's postcards; blue prints, manuscripts, newpapers and much, much more; Pomona Hall is an 18th Quaker mansion built by a prominent Camden County Family, the Cooper's. The mansion is authentically reproduced to reflect how the family would have lived in the 18th century.

HHM presents changing exhibits focusing on the history of Hoboken New Jersey. Recent exhibits include: 50th anniversary exhibit on the film "On the Waterfront: Starring Hoboken New Jersey"; "Hoboken Tunes: Our Musical Heritage"; "100 Hoboken Firsts"; "Heaven, Hell, or Hoboken: A World Transformed by World War I"; "Up and Down the River: A History of the Hudson, 1609 - 2009". In addition the Museum exhibits art work by local artists in it's Upper Gallery. We also have an extensive education program for school children. In addition to our exhibits HHM features many events including house tours, garden tours, baby parades, pet parades, tomato-tasting festivals, film festivals, storytime, and lectures. The Museum has a gift shop that features t-shirts, postcards, maps, posters, and books.
