HHM presents changing exhibits focusing on the history of Hoboken New Jersey. Recent exhibits include: 50th anniversary exhibit on the film "On the Waterfront: Starring Hoboken New Jersey"; "Hoboken Tunes: Our Musical Heritage"; "100 Hoboken Firsts"; "Heaven, Hell, or Hoboken: A World Transformed by World War I"; "Up and Down the River: A History of the Hudson, 1609 - 2009". In addition the Museum exhibits art work by local artists in it's Upper Gallery. We also have an extensive education program for school children. In addition to our exhibits HHM features many events including house tours, garden tours, baby parades, pet parades, tomato-tasting festivals, film festivals, storytime, and lectures. The Museum has a gift shop that features t-shirts, postcards, maps, posters, and books. The Museum publishes many of it's own books, including a series of oral histories titled "Vanishing Hoboken".
HHM was established in 1986 and has been in it's permanent home since 2001.
