Description

Experience Design (formally Krent/Paffet/Carney Inc.) is a full-service exhibition planning and design firm with offices in Boston, MA and Austin, TX. We serve a broad range of clients including historical and cultural museums, science and technology centers, children’s museums, visitor centers, aquariums, botanical gardens, zoological parks, and nature centers. We offer a full range of services from educational content planning, interpretive development, 2D and 3D design, multi-media, web 2.0/3.0 planning and design, as well as fabrication. EXP has been in the business of museum planning and exhibit design for over 30 years. We have planned, developed, designed and installed nearly 200 engaging exhibit programs throughout the US and abroad with award-winning success. EXP’s staff includes Massachusetts-licensed teachers, multi-media designers, exhibition developers, educators, writers, environmental designers, graphic designers, and project managers. With this team, EXP is able to seamlessly integrate multi-media, educational standards, and environmental graphics into the exhibition fabric. We feel that what sets us apart from our competition is our ability to offer clients a “full-service” capability. By bringing educators, designers and multimedia planners together in-house, we are able to weave all assets of a project together from the onset. This results in holistic exhibits that engage, enlighten and inspire. Our Boston team is comprised of approximately 20 talented individuals. This skilled group has managed projects of extreme diversity, from the 80,000 square feet of exhibit science and living history at the National Aquarium of Taiwan, to the intimate, history exhibits at Old Sturbridge Village. Experience Design’s recent notable clients include, The National Constitution Center, The Federal Reserve, The National Archives, Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, The MIT Museum, The State Museum of Pennsylvania, Crane Point Nature Center, The New-York Historical Society, The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Makoshika Nature Center, The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum, Bell County Museum and Science Center, The Louisiana State History Museum and MET Life. Experience Design creates interactive environments that bring history and culture to life for museum visitors.
