Description

Robocop, Hollywood's best-known police super cop, stands tall to greet each and every visitor to the American Police Hall of Fame and Museum. Once you pass by Robocop you will see police cars, motorcycles, knives, guns, badges, swords, and even a guillotine. Have you ever seen a gas chamber or an electric chair? Want to sit in one? You can even get your picture taken in an authentic jail cell! How about an indoor shooting range and a forensics area complete with a crime scene? Discover how top cops and criminology have evolved over the last 100 years. See the FBI's current Most Wanted list while also learning who the most wanted criminals were 50-100 years ago. This hands-on interactive Hall of Fame is the coolest thing going today and is fun for the entire family. Have you been to ground zero in New York City? If not, then the special September 11th exhibit will stir your emotions. And for those who have been, this display will touch them deeply. This exhibit allows visitors to touch actual parts from one of the planes and one of the buildings that were part of that tragic day in history. Have you ever shot a handgun or traveled 130 miles per hour in a helicopter? Here at the American Police Hall of Fame both of these things can be done with highly trained professionals right by your side. The Hall of Fame also has a memorial that contains the names of over 7,200 police officers that have been killed in the line of duty dating back to 1960. Officers from all over the U.S., and their families, are remembered and honored here. Their names etched into the marble walls. Your visit here will provide you with memories to last a lifetime. Where else can you see and do so many things under one roof?
