The Fountain County Historical Society meets twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring.
The Fountain County Historical Society sponsors an essay contest every winter/spring for 4th grade students. All 4th graders attending Fountain County schools are asked to participate. Awards are given for winning essays at each participating school.
The Fountain County Historical Society hosts a bicycling event each fall. FCHS Bikefest '12 will take place on Saturday, September 22nd, 2012. Registration and bike routes will begin at Ouibache (Riverfront) Park in Attica.
Our mission is to promote and preserve the local history of Fountain County, which includes information and education through varying displays within the Fountain County Courthouse in Covington, Indiana.
