An architecturally beautiful 1822 courthouse with the upstairs courtroom restored and ready for court to convene. Exhibits related to the courts in Tolland County and other county institutions.
Built to replace 1785 courthouse, it was used by all civil and criminal courts in the county until the 1890s. It was the town's library from 1899 to 1985. Became a museum of the Tolland Historical Society in 2001, a gift of the Library Association.

Tolland Historical Society maintains archival collections in its headquarters at Old Jail and Museum. Limited library.
Courtroom is available for mock trial rehearsal. School programs not currently offered because of lack of handicapped access.
