The Pendleton Historic Foundation owns and operates two antebellum historic homes-Ashtabula and Woodburn. The Foundation receives no federal or state government funding, and therefore relies on tours, special events, donations, and grants for operations and maintenance. The Pendleton Historic Foundation is a part of the South Carolina National Heritage Corridor.
