The Prairie House Museum is an 1890's restored Gable and Wing Farm House with displays representing the lifestyle and history of Spanaway's schools, merchants and early settlers. The interpretive room is host to changing displays reflecting various eras of local history.
Antiques and collectibles are housed throughout the grounds in buildings such as the Blacksmith Shop, Milk and Wash House, Homestead Room, Restored Barn, Log Cabin and the large covered shed where carriages and farm implements are displayed.
Prairie House Museum is open for tours by appointment and on most Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 2 pm. For additional information and to insure the museum is open for visits, please call: (253)536-6655 or (360)832-6662 Monday - Friday between the hours of 9 am - 2 pm.
