Historic New Richmond's mission is to preserve, protect, and promote knowledge of the historical heritage of the Village of New Richmond, Ohio and its surrounding area by: Collecting, preserving and making available for research historical records, documents, photographs and artifacts. Disseminating information through interpretive exhibits, presentations, and publications.

Mission

The purpose of this Society shall be to preserve, protect, and promote knowledge of the historical heritage of the Village of New Richmond, Ohio and its surrounding area by:
Collecting, preserving and making available for research historical records, documents, photographs and artifacts. Disseminating information through interpretive exhibits, presentations, and publications.
Preserving and encouraging others to preserve buildings, monuments and sites of historical value.
Cooperating with other historical societies and organizations having purposes in keeping with those of this Society

History

The organization was formed in May 1972 to preserve and incorporated in June 1972 to preserve and share the early heritage in the area.

Artifact Collections

HNR has various articfacts from New RIhcmond's history such as clothing, pictures, and furniture.

Research Collections

HNR's archives contains newspapers from Clermont County , books published about 'New Richmond, letters, pictures etc. for reserachers to use.

Educational Programs

HNR's exhibits revovle around the history of New RIchmond, steamboat history, underground railraod, the woolen mill etc. Activities include dinner and aspeakers (which has a small fee) workshops on genealogy, and days whent eh museum is open to artists to display their works.
