Our meeting room is available to other groups for events or programs on an as needed basis.
Our mission is to collect and preserve the history of the Boyertown area, and to make it available for research, educational and the general enjoyment of those in our community.
The Boyertown Area Historical Society was organized in 1972 to preserve the unique history and culture of the Boyertown area. In 1974 we moved to our present location and established a small museum and a research library.
We maintain collections of vintage clothing, local industrial and business artifacts, household items, school and church memorabilia, and military items.
Our research materials include local church and cemetery records, business records, photographs, local history, Pennsylvania German culture materials, tax and census records.
.
We offer guided tours for many types of groups or for individuals, people are also welcome to wander the exhibits at their leisure. The tours are by donation. We offer presentations nine times throughout the year on topics of historical interest, These are open to the general public.
