All admissions are valid for a second visit within a one-week period.

Year-round residents of the Adirondack Park are admitted FREE from May 23 through the month of June and on all days when the museum is open in October.

Description

The Adirondack Museum has been collecting for more than fifty years and will continue to collect into the future. The collections are as varied and diverse as the Adirondacks themselves. Each artifact represents a small piece of the Adirondack story.

Fine and Regional Art:
Three collections – fine art, decorative art, and photography – combine to create the largest repository of Adirondack art in the North Country.

Daily Life and Work:
Featuring artifacts related to domestic work and homemaking; work, commerce, trades, and professions.

Historic Structures:
Over a dozen historic structures from throughout the Adirondack North Country have been relocated to the museum grounds.

Sports, Recreation and Tourism Collections:
Telling the stories of outdoor life in the Adirondack Mountains.

Transportation Collections:
Vehicles and watercraft used to travel to and through the Adirondacks.

The Adirondack Museum believes in the power of history to ignite the imagination, stimulate thought and shape the future. Our collections and engaging programs reflect stories of life, work, and play in the Adirondack Park and northern New York State.
