Description

The World Awareness Children’s Museum is an educational institution which fosters knowledge and appreciation of world cultures through exhibitions, interactive programming, the International Youth Art Exchange and educator-led tours.

On-site: World Awareness Children's Museum exhibitions consist of changing interactive installations inspired by children's art from around the world, acquired through the Museum's International Youth Art Exchange (ARTex) program. Uniquely structured to be educational and fun, children explore and touch hands-on exhibits and artifacts. Activities are designed for children as well as adults for a shared cultural experience. .

Please note: ON-SITE TOURS AND FAMILY VISITS ARE TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE DURING THE RENOVATION OF OUR NEW BUILDING AT 89 WARREN STREET, GLENS FALLS, NEW YORK

Off-site: Original International Youth Art exhibitions are available to museums, schools and institutions. Diverse works from over 60 countries are offered and include a wide variety of themes and subjects.

Twenty- and forty-piece loans are uniquely assembled from the Museum's archive of over 6,000 original international works from 68 countries. Have a special exhibition in mind? Color copies of all art images shown on the International Youth Art Exhibitions for Loan pages and throughout the Museum website can be purchased for $25.00 each. This includes shipping and handling for continental U.S. orders!

In 1995 the World Awareness Children's Museum was created with a mission to foster awareness, understanding, and appreciation of worldwide cultural diversity for children and adults.
