The Brunnier Art Museum is the state's only accredited museum emphasizing a decorative arts collection, and one of the nation's few museums located within a performing arts and conference complex (Iowa State Center). Founded in 1975, the museum is named after its benefactors, Iowa State alumnus Henry J. Brunnier and his wife Ann. The decorative arts collection they donated, the Brunnier Collection, is extensive, consisting of ceramics, glass, dolls, ivory, jade, and enameled metals.
Other fine and decorative art objects that form the University Art Collection include prints, paintings, sculptures, textiles, carpets, wood, lacquered objects, silver, and furniture.

About eight to twelve annual changing exhibitions and permanent collection exhibitions provide educational opportunities for all ages -- from learning the history of a quilt hand-stitched over 100 years ago to discovering how scientists analyze the physical properties of artists' materials, such as glass or stone.
Lectures, receptions, conferences, university classes, panel discussions, gallery walks, and gallery talks are presented to assist with further interpretation of objects.
The University Museums exist to foster understanding and delight in the visual arts with a focus on the creative interactions in arts, sciences and technology. The University Museums nurture knowledge of and appreciation for the University's cultural heritage and its present cultural context. The University Museums serve the Iowa State University community and the public as an educational and cultural resource.

BRUNNIER ART MUSEUM: Groups of up to 200 people may enjoy the Brunnier’s decorative and fine arts. With its ever changing options of temporary and permanent exhibitions, the Brunnier offers a visually stimulating and intellectually exciting setting for campus events.
CHRISTIAN PETERSEN ART MUSEUM: University Museums’ newest art museum provides a visually dynamic setting for groups of 75 to 150 people. Located in the renovated historic Morrill Hall near the heart of central campus, the Christian Petersen Art Museum provides two gallery spaces with changing art exhibitions throughout the semester. Your guests will have the opportunity to experience works of art by the nation’s first sculptor in residence, Christian Petersen, as well as contemporary works of art.
FARM HOUSE MUSEUM: Small intimate groups will enjoy the parlor at the Farm House Museum, with its historic artifacts and furnishings dating from 1860 to the early 1900s. Larger groups may consider a lawn party on the beautiful grounds of the Farm House Museum overlooking central campus.
