To preserve the history of Seminole County Florida through displays, maps, artifacts, documents and memorabilia and to educate the public through exhibits, special events, lectures and activities.
To collect, arrange, record and preserve and historical artifacts and materials of and relating to the history of the area known as Seminole County and its surrounding environs. To collect materials of every description relative to its military, schools, churches, and citizens; to promote a better understanding and appreciation by the public of its history and economic, political, social, intellectual and technological heritage; and to educate said public of such history through the museum.
