Description

Dedicated to preserving the history of Arcadia, CA.

Mission

The mission of the Gilb Museum of Arcadia Heritage is to collect, preserve and recognize Arcadia's heritage; to create a shared identity for a diverse community; and to celebrate the City's rich history with exhibits and educational programs that will encourage community involvement.

History

Through the combined efforts of the City of Arcadia, the Arcadia Historical Society, and members of the community, the construction of a local museum became a reality. Dedicated on October 2, 2001, the new museum was named after its lead donors Ruth and Charles Gilb. The Gilb Museum of Arcadia Heritage collects local artifacts from the prehistoric era to the present and preserves the rich history of Arcadia.
