Description

Intimate local history museum that offers much insight and information about agricultural production in the San Gabriel Valley. Many 3D artifacts that illustrate life in the early part of the last century. Scores of schoolchildren visit for a glimpse of early Covina history.

History

The Covina Valley Historical Society was organized in 1969. Membership hovers around 250 members. The City of Covina allowed the CVHS to transform an old Firehouse and Jail into a museum in 1978. Community interest was high for such a worthwhile project and within three years the building was rennovated. A local community museum was assembled shortly afterward and is still enjoyed by hundreds of schoolchildren and visitors each year.

Artifact Collections

One of the most complete collections of citrus records and memorabilia in southern California.
