Description

Pocahontas Island Black History Museum, located on the historic Pocahontas Island in Petersburg, VA, once a stop on the Underground Railroad, is home to a treasure trove of artifacts and other historical items of interest that showcases over 200 years of Black history. Black History and Civil War expert, Mr. Richard Stewart, is the museum's founder and orator who delights in taking museum visitors on an oral journey of Black history in Petersburg, VA.
