A considerable portion of the archival work is the Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Museum and Diocesan Historical Museum. This museum opened in 2008 with an educational mission ranging from learning about the roots of our faith, the legacy of our previous bishops, and promoting the Cause for Beatification of the Servant of God, Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen.

The Archives and Museum operate together to offer the general public several rotating exhibits throughout the year taking great pride and honor in the appreciation of the history of our Church and our Diocese.

Tours of both the Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Museum and Diocesan Historical Museum as well as Saint Mary's Cathedral in Peoria are available through the museum and the Office of Divine Worship.
