At the U.S. Navy Seabee Museum, you'll relive action from World War II through current military operations and learn why Seabees proudly proclaim, "We Build, We Fight." From building runways and bridges to fighting to defend those facilities in times of conflict, the Seabees legacy has been and will continue to be one of global impact and progress. Mission

The mission of the U.S. Navy Seabee Museum is to select, collect, preserve and display historic material relating to the history of the Naval Construction Force, better known as the SEABEES, and the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps.

History

Established in 1947, the U.S. Navy Seabee Museum is the second oldest the Navy's official museums. The Seabee Museum is part of the Naval History and Heritage Command.

Artifact Collections

Displays on awe-inspiring collection of U.S. Navy uniforms, weapons, art and memoriabilia. The collection also includes artifacts from Seabee travels on all seven continents and a myriad of islands throughout the world.

Research Collections

The operaational records ofthe Naval Construction Force are also located at the Seabee Museum. They house approximately 11,000 linear feet of records, photos and film pertaining to the Seabees and the Civil Engineer Corps since 1942. Archival research is by appoinment only.
