Established in 1935 for the conservation and preservation of the German Heritage of Fredericksburg and Gillespie County.

Artifact Collections

Over 10,000 objects in eight historic sites.

Research Collections

German immigration and settlement, county history on going, social history, farm and ranching history. Recently initiate extensive photograph cataloging project over 1,200 images now housed and listed--200 files entered on data base.

Programs

Founders Day Festival, Christmas Candlelight Tour, Stars of Texas Luncheon, Kinderfest (Children's Festival), Zweite Weihnachten (2nd Christmas), local school outreach, local nursing home outreach.
