The PMC Museum brings to life the history of Pennsylvania Military College, known in its time as the "West Point of the Keystone State." The museum's exhibits, through photographs, audio and video displays, and a wealth of artifacts, not only re-create life at PMC, but also tell the stories of the athletic and academic accomplishments of PMC students. As a lasting monument to PMC and its cadre of alumni, the PMC Museum honors the military and civilian achievements of its graduates.

Taylor Arboretum at Widener University

Widener University has acquired the Taylor Memorial Arboretum, a 30-acre reserve of plantings and natural lands located about a mile north of the university in Nether Providence Township. The arboretum will remain free and open to the public while providing the university with greatly expanded opportunities for research and hands-on learning in the environmental and biological sciences and science education.

The York College Galleries are located on the first floor of Wolf Hall. Free visitor parking is adjacent to Wolf Hall. The art galleries are wheelchair accessible. All exhibitions and receptions are free and open to the public.

Today, while it maintains the atmosphere of a private home, Cairnwood is a National Historic Landmark and is open to public, featuring guided tours, and special programs.

Morris Arboretum

More than 13,000 labeled plants of over 2,500 types are growing in the Arboretum’s living collection. These include representatives of the temperate floras of North America, Asia, and Europe. This historic collection traces its foundation to John Morris’s interest in plants from around the world, and includes plants collected in China by E.H. Wilson at the turn of the century. Many of the Delaware Valley’s "trees-of-record" (the largest of their kind) are found in the Arboretum. Most notable are the katsura, Engler beech, Bender oak, and trident maple.

The Fashion Archives' 15,000-item collection, comprised mostly of donations, consists of clothing and accessories worn by men, women and children, dating from the late eighteenth to the twentieth century. Primarily focused on middle- and working-class Americans, clothing from all walks of life is represented in the collection. Visitors to the Fashion Archives can see beaded Charleston dresses from the 1920s, Victorian corsets and Chinese binding shoes. The Fashion Archives takes pride in its pieces from designers such as Chanel, Scaasi, Cashin and Trigere.

We have a permanent collection gallery, two traveling exhibition galleries and a gallery dedicated to student and faculty exhibitions. All galleries are able to be divided. We also have a "smart" classroom and curatorial spaces that are open for research and visits from the public by appointment.
