The museum opened on June 5, 2010, as a tribute to the thousands of men, women and families who have hiked and maintained the 2,189 mile long hiking trail that passes through 14 states from Maine to Georgia. Located in the Pine Grove Furnace State Park in Gardners, Pennsylvania, the museum is conveniently near Carlisle, Gettysburg and Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

the latter part of his life, Charles Brown III developed a passion for collecting old, rare automatic musical instruments. That collection is now part of the Bayernhof Museum. His collection is displayed in almost every room in the house. There are many antique music boxes, “monkey” organs, a Wurlitzer carousel organ, a Reproduco Piano-Pipe organ used in funeral homes and theaters, an Encore Automatic Banjo. There is also a Mills Deluxe Violano Virtuoso player violin and piano combination, a Knabe Ampico reproducing grand piano that faithfully “reproduces” the playing of the artist who originally recorded the roll and a huge Seeburg Pipe Organ Orchestra that was once used to accompany silent films to name just a few.

The property of the Sara Sweet House is currently the site of the Boalsburg Heritage Museum which also includes the Light House, the 2008 rebuild of the Bank Barn, and the Summer Kitchen.

Briar Bush grounds feature over a mile of trails winding through a variety of natural habitats. Native plants and wild animals can be found here year round, especially at the Bird Observatory. The Museum is full of interactive exhibits, touch tables and play areas and is home to over 30 resident animals. Briar Bush offers a wide variety of fun and educational programs for individuals and groups of all ages, including hikes, animal encounters, birthday parties and summer camps!

150 years ago the East Broad Top was among the earliest railroads in America to try a revolutionary new technology: narrow gauge. Today it is the oldest narrow-gauge railroad anywhere in the United States, and the last narrow gauge common carrier east of the Rocky Mountains. The Cresco Station Museum: The society has regular programs at the Cresco Station Museum. From Memorial Day to Columbus Day, there is a monthly performance by local muscians and an Ice Cream Social. The museum is also the site of an Art's and Craft's Exhibit on the second Sunday of each month. Local Artists and Crafters display and sell their work. Exhibits change periodically.

Our museum now houses over 20,000 artifacts in 12,000 sq. ft. of space. In addition, our Archive Room is chock full of interesting photographs, maps, genealogical information, and notebooks filled with newspaper articles organized by last name, organization, business, or event.

EAST BERLIN is an historic town located in Adams County, Pennsylvania. The main street was placed on the national register of Historic Places in recognition of its many early buildings. East Berlin Historical Preservation Society was organized in 1975 in an effort to preserve the unique heritage of the town and is responsible for the following historic buildings:
