Our organization has been founded on the principles of education, preservation, and remembrance. We wish to educate the public about the soldier in World War Two. By doing this we hope that the public can have a better understanding of the American experience and contribution to the Second World War. We preserve the past by maintaining collections of World War Two items, collection of veteran stories, and living history events.

The Dr. Eells House is the oldest surviving brick home in Quincy, Illinois, built in 1835. It is most famous for its connection to the Underground Railroad, with a case against Dr. Eells that went through the court system that included Circuit Judge Stephen Douglas and all the way to the US Supreme Court. The House is an architectural site and showcases period furnishings.

Quincy Art Center, a museum celebrating visual arts, is set in the beautiful Historical District of Quincy, Illinois where avenues are bordered by arching trees. Since 1923, the Quincy Art Center has focused its energies promoting the growth and appreciation of the visual arts in Quincy and the surrounding areas by hosting art exhibits of local and world-renowned artists and providing educational programs for the communities it serves.
