Visit The Homestead, Gardens, Dye House, and Library are free to the public. Docented tours of the House and Gardens are available by appointment and during the Second Saturday Open House. The Library is also open on Tuesdays. A Self Guided Walking Tour of Historic North Stonington Village is available, and there are several restaurants near by if you would like to make a day of it. There is onsite parking and handicapped parking, and a ramp to the main house and upper gardens. Second Saturday Open House 11am-2pm, every second Saturday of the month.

Every Thursday from 4 to 8 pm, the Tampa Museum of Art offers Art on the House where admission prices change to pay-as-you-will, and visitors choose whatever admission price they want to pay. Bring the family and celebrate 100 years of art in Tampa with exhibitions that emphasize ancient, modern, and contemporary art

Beginning at 4 pm every Thursday, walk up to the Welcome Desk and tell the Visitor Experience and Engagement Representatives the admission price you chose to pay for your visit to the museum. Any donation amount is welcome

The 2024 AASLH Annual Conference in Mobile, Alabama, aims to bring together our national history community to explore the vital work of history practitioners with the theme Doing History, which inspires attendees to acknowledge a holistic view of the past, making space for diverse interpretations, and striving toward a future where everyone feels like they belong to something larger than themselves. MI Museums: Navigating Changing Landscape

The role of museums is evolving. How do we as museum professionals and volunteers navigate the complexities of a rapidly changing world while staying true to the core mission of museums as stewards of culture, education, and public engagement

While this may present us with challenges, it also offers us opportunities to rethink traditional museum practices and embrace novel approaches to our work. As we navigate these societal, technological, and environmental shifts, what are the tools and strategies we can use to innovate and transform the Michigan museum community

This year’s conference invites participants to explore these pressing issues along with emerging trends in museum education and interpretation, collections stewardship, exhibit design, fundraising, audience development, leadership, DEAI and community engagement. We are all passionate about shaping the future of museums – how can we come together to be a catalyst for change within the Michigan museum community?

CAM is hard at work planning for the 2025 conference, set to take place from February 18–22, 2025 in San Francisco. We look forward to highlighting best practices and innovative ideas from California's museum community

The California Association of Museums is excited to continue offering in-person programming for 2025. We will not be requiring proof of COVID vaccination/s, but highly encourage vaccination and boosters. For the health and safety of our colleagues, masks are also encouraged (but not required).
