The Ingham is a National Historic Landmark, a museum, and a living classroom designed to inform and inspire generations to come. As a non-governmental, non-profit maritime museum, it is a repository of historical artifacts, a life-changing classroom for at-risk youth, and a powerful reminder of the U.S. Coast Guard's role in protecting America in times of peace and times of war. Rotating displays of artifacts like compasses, barometers, uniforms, photos, and memorabilia are exhibited in various cabins, staterooms, ward room, dining area, and other departments.

The mission of the University of South Florida Botanical Gardens is to foster appreciation, understanding and stewardship of our natural and botanical heritage through living plant collections, displays, education and research. The USF Botanical Gardens serves the education and research needs of the University community and provides education and recreation opportunities for the Tampa Bay area community. Collections include: orchids, bromeliads, begonias, carnivorous plants, palms and native plants.

The mission of the University of West Florida Art Gallery is the preservation, study and communication of Contemporary Art. In its role as a university art gallery devoted to the exhibition, interpretation and study of Contemporary Art, the Gallery addresses the sometimes controversial questions inherent in the art of today. A major emphasis of the UWF Art Gallery is education. In this capacity, the Gallery serves as a teaching facility for students of the University of West Florida. Through exhibitions and programs, the Gallery also provides art education and cultural awareness to other Northwest Florida students of all ages and institutions and to the Gulf Coast community in general.
