Description

The IFCPP is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the education, networking, and specialized training of security officers, supervisors, managers, and administrators working in Museums, cultural properties and public institutions. Founded in January 1999, the Foundation has both individual and institutional members from across the globe. The IFCPP offers national certification for anyone responsible for the protection of a public institution or cultural facility. IFCPP isn't just a great source for cultural property protection training and education.it's the only source. We strive to enhance networking between members and member institutions, research on protection related issues, and placement assistance for protection professionals.

When you're ready to post conference information:

The International Foundation for Cultural Property Protection (IFCPP), a non-profit organization dealing with the protection of museums, libraries, zoos, aquariums, parks, educational institutions, historic sites, and other public institutions, will be holding its Seventh Annual Conference, Seminar, Exhibits & Certification Program at the Wyndham Orlando Resort, November 13-17, 2005.

Co-sponsored by the newly formed Institute of Terrorism Research & Response, our 2005 Conference will open a new era in IFCPP development. We will continue the tradition of bringing the very best in programs, presenters, and conference activities to attendees from across the U.S. and abroad, with representation from every aspect of the professional spectrum.

IFCPP welcomes administrators, facilities managers, human resources personnel and security staff from cultural institutions of any size or scope to attend 4 full days of general conference sessions, course work (and exam) for the Certified Institutional Protection Manager, Specialist and Supervisor (CIPM/CIPS) designations, and a variety of special workshops. Instructors and presenters are the nation's leading authorities in the cultural property protection community. Session topics will include: emergency preparedness, disaster planning, business continuity, collections protection, crisis management, construction security planning, workplace violence prevention, fire protection, legal considerations, IT security, personnel selection and screening, physical security, public relations and more.

Our casual atmosphere will allow professionals to network and learn in a comfortable and fun environment. Registration fees will include all conference sessions, certification courses, educational materials, welcome reception, breakfasts/lunches and several exciting area excursions. Throughout the conference, leading manufacturers, dealers, and service providers will exhibit state of the art technology and services, especially geared toward the protection of cultural properties.

The IFCPP offers essential training and education in this very specialized field, and the only certification programs recognizing the skills and experience of those who protect our public institutions. Don't miss this unique opportunity to acquire the latest information on the protection of your institutions!
