Bring Art to Southwest Oklahoma. It was formed as a Foundation with a working gallery by Leslie Powell in his will. We charge no admission and no commission on works sold. We give art scholarships to deserving art students at Cameron University, grants, hold concerts, film prmiers, regular lecture series. We hold a national art show every two years with $5000.00 is awards, and 6 shows a year, each running two months.

The Museum of the Great Plains Authority exists both as a municipal trust and a 501(c)(3). The City of Lawton directly appoints 3 of our 13 board members, and approves the trust's recommendation of the remaining 10.

US Army Field Artillery Museum

The Museum was opened June 2, 2009. Previously, the Artillery Collection was part of the Fort Sill National Historic Landmark and Museum collection. Our collection includes a representation of uniforms from each era. We have added many new pieces and exhibits to peak the interest of any history or artillery buff.
